So what is this all about?
Urban Explorers is a site with a unique prospective on what is seen through our eyes when it comes to visiting old abandoned, derelict places. We are also there to catch local history and historic places while they still stand.
The theme of Urban Explorers is Urban exploration which is the definition of pretty much what where all about. It's all in the exploring and enjoying these abandoned, unseen places whether it be a hospital, tunnel or old house. We wont let them be forgotten...
The purpose of the website is to be available to anyone who would like to use our resources for personal research and to generally learn about the places we feature and perhaps try out urban exploring themselves. If you have any further questions or comments please feel free to contact us.
Why do we visit these places?
I've always been fascinated by old houses, hospitals pretty much anything that is either defunct or scream's out with history that will benefit myself or others. When you visit these types of places you have to get a real feeling of what the hospital or house was like when it was in operation, it's a bit like a blank piece of canvas then you stroll along take a few photo's and let your imagination run wild. The most exciting part is discovering how things worked well before my time. It's almost like jumping back in time when I visit places like Brick works and houses built pre 1900's. There is so much to learn from these beautiful places most of all to be grateful because many where around in hard times whether it be during a depression or before computers, so it's a real escape and it sort of gives each location a new prospective to for a new generation...
